Cleaning versus disinfecting on the gym floor
Cleaning removes sweat, oils, and dirt. Disinfecting kills the bacteria and viruses listed on the product label, and the claim only holds if the surface stays wet for the label contact time. A quick spray and immediate wipe cleans a bench but may not disinfect it.

Can I use it on cardio machine screens?
No. The label says not to use it on electrical equipment. Use it on hard, non-porous frames, handles, and benches, and follow the equipment maker's instructions for screens and consoles.
Can the disinfectant be used on food prep surfaces?
No. LEXX® RTU Broad Spectrum Disinfectant & Cleaner is registered for non-food contact surfaces. For anything food touches, use LEXX® RTU Liquid Food Contact Surface Sanitizer & Cleaner, which is NSF listed Category A1, D2 and needs no rinse.
What surfaces should citric acid cleaners not be used on?
Because the formulas are citric acid based, keep them off marble, granite, and other natural stone, copper, brass, and unsealed wood. For the disinfectant, the label also says not to use it on electrical equipment or mix it with soaps, detergents, or other chemicals.
